Martin Spernau has been wrestling a bit with Tinderbobx and talks a bit about learning:

"People usually whine for new features at the beginning of their learning curve.... why can't it do X? But then comes a phase where you get in deeper and start to 'get it'. You learn new way to do things, learning to do them 'inside the boundaries'."

Doug Miller comments that

"[This] is precisely the point - Tinderbox is paradigm busting software. Most of the criticism I read of Tinderbox seems to me to arise from people approaching it with preconceived ideas about how it should work, and not being able to shed these preconceptions enough to understand how it actually does work."
