The refrigerator gave out Saturday, and the attic needed to be cleaned anyway. So there was not much time for cooking, and plenty of need for mood improvement. Backbar supplied the latter in spades; gotta love a place that lists the Pegu Club at the top of their menu, and they make a nifty Corpse Reviver #2. (Loved the fried rabbit rillettes — “Bunny MacNuggets,” too. Served with a homemade new pickle, which is a typical Journeyman touch, doing lots more than the dish strictly requires.)
